Briarwood is a tight grid of pre-war co-op buildings, attached brick rows, and a band of detached homes as you move toward Jamaica. A general contractor working here spends as much time on coordination as on construction: a kitchen or bath renovation in a co-op runs through the building's managing agent and board before a single wall comes down, while a job on an attached home means protecting the shared party wall and the neighbor on the other side of it. We run the project end to end so those moving parts stay aligned.

The approval path depends on the building. Most co-op interior renovations need an alteration agreement, board sign-off, and proof of licensed and insured trades before the building lets anyone start; many also limit work hours and require deliveries through a service entrance. For homes near Jamaica, the work usually routes through the NYC Department of Buildings instead, with permits filed under the right alteration type and inspections scheduled as the job progresses. Knowing which path applies before demolition keeps the project from stalling halfway through.

We scope the work, file the paperwork, build the schedule, and bring in the plumbers, electricians, tile setters, and cabinet installers in the right sequence so each trade has clean conditions to work in.
