South Jamaica home remodeling

The housing stock in South Jamaica leans heavily toward narrow attached row houses and modest detached one and two family homes, many of them decades old. That shape drives what owners update first: galley kitchens that feel cramped, single full baths shared by the whole household, and worn flooring that runs the length of the main level. We plan remodels around the real footprint of these homes rather than forcing a layout that does not fit.

When we open a kitchen or bath, we routinely find undersized panels, aging supply lines, and venting that no longer meets code, so we coordinate electrical, plumbing, and HVAC upgrades as part of the job instead of leaving them for later. Interior remodeling within the existing footprint is usually straightforward on the approval side, but any work that touches structure, egress, or plumbing layout goes through DOB permitting, and we handle that paperwork so the work stays inspectable and on record.

The process starts with a walkthrough and a written estimate, then a fixed scope covering demolition, rough-in, finishes, and final inspection. Two family homes get extra attention to keep one unit livable while the other is under construction, and basement work is sequenced so moisture control and headroom are settled before any finishing begins.
