Bellerose bathroom remodeling

Bellerose sits right on the Nassau border, and its housing stock reflects that mix: detached ranches, capes, and attached row homes, many built mid-century with a single full bath upstairs and a half bath near the entry. If you are in one of Bellerose's co-op buildings, the board's alteration agreement governs the job: most require licensed insured contractors, set wet-over-dry restrictions so a new shower cannot sit above a neighbor's bedroom or kitchen, and ask for waterproofing details before work starts. Owner-occupied houses give you more freedom on layout, but the same plumbing and electrical code applies either way.

The process we run is straightforward. We measure and confirm the layout, pull the right permits for the scope, then demo to the studs and subfloor so we can see the real condition behind the tile. We address any rot or old galvanized supply lines, build out a continuous waterproofing membrane in the wet area, set the vanity and fixtures, run dedicated electrical for the new lighting and GFCI outlets, and finish with tile and trim. Most Bellerose single-bath remodels run a tight, predictable schedule because the rooms are small and the scope is well defined.
